Just a few days left in the month. Not been much to report in the last week, quiet and the ones we have found, have mostly been well backed, but not won their races.
We still sit on a 27point profit for the month, but we are going to put some of that on the line for Saturday racing. We have four “speed figure” bets.
Possible that we add one or two more “class droppers” too … but that will go out in a later email.

16:05 at Sandown - Defence Minister
Best price 12.0 @ paddy
In the 16:05 Class 3 handicap at Sandown, speed figure analysis immediately highlighted Defence Minister as the primary target. Initial calculations gave him a solid gap over the field, anchored by a career-peak 86 MR over this exact course and distance. Rivals like Shameful and Monarch’s Gold were quickly discarded due to uncompetitive speed figures.
Pace and sectional data, however, threw down a red flag: a moderate tempo favored front-runners, creating a tactical "Dead Zone" for our hold-up selection. Yet, Timeform extended form proved that dropping from mega-field Class 2s back to a manageable 10-runner Class 3 at his favoured track suited him perfectly. Sectional splits confirmed his elite 107% finishing speed, while jockey Callum Rodriguez (100% win record on board) and trainer Hamad Al Jehani (holding a solid 69% stable form marker) provided vital support. Course specialists Desert Shadow and Storm Free emerged as massive dangers given their trainer stats, but numerical class prevailed.
At the price this looks like a solid bet back down in class.
16:45 Beverley - Coolree
Best price 13.0 sky/paddy
Our speed-figure model initially shortlisted Coolree (IRE) for the 16:45 Beverley handicap after he showed a dominant gap over his official rating (OR 66). Rivals like Filey Beach were discarded due to step-up stamina doubts beyond 7f, while Glorious Kitty faces a punishing pace duel carrying full weight.
Pace and draw data reveal a contested early lead, which sectional timing proves is ideal for Coolree. While he falters when making the running, he produces a decent closing kick when tracking a fast tempo. Returning to a track and trip where he boasts three victories, he drops back into Class 5 company off a very lenient mark.
Trainer Sam England boasts a 50% place rate at Beverley, while jockey Shane Gray arrives in red-hot form with a 21% strike rate over the last fortnight.
This looks like a very fair price for the chance.
Goodwood 16:55: Toca Madera

Today’s 5f sprint at Goodwood offers a perfect storm of pace and form. Our speed figure model initially shortlisted Toca Madera, Lexington Blitz, and Naana’s Sparkle as exceptionally well-handicapped against their current marks. However, we discarded Naana's Sparkle due to jockey Kieran O'Neill's concerning 0% track strike rate over the last two years.
With three dedicated front-runners, the pace forecast is "Strong." Sectional data proves Lexington Blitz (Stall 1) sets blistering early fractions but has a glass jaw and collapses late when pressured. This makes him a prime lay-to-back exchange trade as his in-play odds compress early.
This probable pace meltdown perfectly sets up our ultimate target: Toca Madera. Drawn beautifully in Stall 4, his extended form and closing sectionals confirm he thrives stalking a hot Goodwood pace. Partnered with course-specialist Daniel Tudhope—who boasts an elite 21% track strike rate—he ticks every box.
5.00 Windsor - Sargent Dennis

Our speed analysis immediately highlighted Sargent Dennis and Supreme King. We quickly discarded otherwise well-rated course specialists like Lequinto and Under The Twilight because their extreme hold-up styles clash disastrously with today's forecasted weak pace.
The tactical map perfectly favors Sargent Dennis. Breaking from Stall 5, his prominent run style is ideal for Windsor's 6f Good-to-Firm track, where front-runners boast a huge 1.51 Impact Value.
Though his recent form looks poor on paper, extended notes reveal clear excuses, he was unsuited by hold-up tactics and needed a run after a break. Returning to his winning C&D, sectional data proves his potency: in his May victory here, he clocked a blistering 12.19s final furlong, mathematically superior to Supreme King's late C&D fractions.
Furthermore, trainer Jack Channon boasts a 19% course strike rate and smartly reunites Sargent Dennis with Tom Marquand—the only jockey to win on him. Conversely, Supreme King's trainer strikes at just 4% here, and his horse must concede 15 lbs to our selection.
