Goodwood : Owen Burrows has a decent strike rate here and he runs one tomorrow in the 3.42 race, Quebella. However I prefer another in the race.

3.42 Goodwood - Orionis 365 just opened @ 5/1 about this one as I write.

Haggas / Fallon have 13 runs at this track in the last 2 years, they have won 5 and placed in 8. They won this race last year when they teamed up with Santorini Star, that one has gone on to win a couple of group 2 races.

Orionis won a class 4 from a mark of 82 (0-85) back in September, then followed up with a very close run 3rd (btn less than a length) in a class 2 race (0-95)at Newmarket in OCtober of last year.

This class 3 race is of a similar level and the horse will not need to have improved too much from 3yo to 4yo to be involved here. She should be very competitive.

Over at Haydock a couple of stats standout.

Hugo Palmer / Oisin Murphy combine for a 42% strike rate over the last 2 years here at the track (12 runs, 5 wins, 8 places) They have two for tomorrow but they are both in maiden / novice races with very little form to pick over.

6.15 Bath - Dappled Light. Another swing at a big price. Opened 25/1 w 365
(Edit - before posting, price now @ 16/1)

Won this race last year from a mark of 58. Gets in here tomorrow from a mark of 55.
Last time out race over track and trip can be excused as that was seasonal reappearance and will have needed that run, but it will have freshened the horse up in preparation for this.

Prior run at Bath was in Sept of last year from a mark of 59 (4lbs higher than today)
“held up in rear, pushed along over 2f out, headway 1f out, short of room final furlong, not recover” Beaten less than 3 lengths that day and should have been closer.

Prior to that this race last year when winning with pretty much exactly the same comment as above.
“held up towards rear, headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong”

I suspect we will get a run for out money tomorrow, and think this will go off closer to 10/1 on the day.

4.05 Haydock - Lesrico prices not posted yet, I expect around 13/2

Close second 3lto at Haydock when going off at 50/1 , beaten that day by the 11/8 fav. Won 2lto at Doncaster in a 0-75 handicap over 1m 2 ½ race, staying on well.
Bumped in grade drastically last time out at Redcar. Aimed at a class 3 0-90, but that proved a step too far. Only beaten 4.5 lengths so not totally disgraced.

Back down tomorrow into much more realistic class 5 0-70. Ground is soft so will be stamina test.

I think we get a run tomorrow.
