Winner of this race last year from a mark of 64. Gets in off same mark, but has a 5lb claimer up top to help take a little more off too.
Horse is a course specialist with 9 runs and 4 wins at Redcar.
Race last year has an AVG OR of 61. Is slightly easier this year with an AVG of 59.
Horse went on to win again over track and trip in July of 25 in a class 5 race from a mark of 66 with the comment “ran on to win going away”
Tried twice more at the track since that win. Once in a 0-80 class 4 where the horse finished 6th of 9 3.3 from the lead at the line. “hampered approaching final furlong, weakened” Followed by a run in a class 2 0-90, beaten 4.4l 8th of 13 that day.
Back to a track the horse likes tomorrow, in a grade that will suit, should have a decent chance at getting involved at the finish.

Had 4 runs with OMeara now and has yet to win one.
Made stable debut on 29 Mar this year and was beaten just 1.7l in a class 3 0-95 from a mark of 81.
Next time out dropped into a class 4 at Ripon and beaten just a head at the line in a 0-85 from a mark of 81
Given an extra 4lb for those runs, and bumped into a class 2 0-95, beaten 2.5l by one now rated 102
Last time out beaten into 3rd in a very hot looking class 2 handicap where the top rated had a mark of 113. Beaten into 43rd that day, the two in front had marks of 107 and 105. Comment was very positive “smooth headway well over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, short of room approaching final furlong, stayed on strongly when in clear final furlong, took third near finish”
Drop back in grade for this one tomorrow. class 4 race at Nottingham, top rated goes from a mark of 87. The horse needs to prove that he can get his head in front at the line. On paper should be winning this, a danger that this is just a stepping stone though.
