Welcome to MarkYourCard for racing on Saturday

Adding one more bet to the day for Saturday. There were lots to go at, some were very close to making the cut too …

3.55 Ripon - His Finest hour was way ahead on speed stats, new trainer second race, wind op second race, however the horse had been running over further and did not have any recent form over a mile. At 25/1 it is probably worth a swing, but I ran out of time for in-depth analysis on this one. I will be having a bet, but it will not be tracked.

Stormy Music (16:25 Newmarket) - clear on speed figures, but most recent race skews numbers with a big number and not much to back it up.

It Just Takes Time IRE (15:25 Ripon) Another with a good speed figure behind it but question marks over the 6f today (best runs are over further)

Speed Figure Picks

2.10 Newmarket - Havana Blue @ 4.33 (4.0 is ok)

In Newmarket’s 6f sprint, our initial speed models flagged Havana Blue, First Folio, and Secret Guest as incredibly well-handicapped. However, Newmarket's Good-to-Firm bias heavily favors high-drawn, prominent racers. This instantly eliminated First Folio (poorly drawn in stall 2) and Secret Guest (a notorious slow starter).

Havana Blue is the clear standout. Dropping back into his winning grade, he thrives on this exact ground. Crucially, sectional timing proves he has the tactical speed to sit comfortably behind the likely burnout early pace of Archduke Ferdinand before taking over. With his yard placing consistently, the setup is flawless.

We recommend a strictly win-only bet on Havana Blue.
