Welcome to MarkYourCard for racing on Saturday.

Jockey/Trainer Stats

4.27 Bath - Time For Action - @ 21.0 - 4 places sky/paddy

Bath - last two years
David Flood - 9 runs, 4 wins, 7 places

Three runs down the field - given opening mark of 51, then ran twice at Bath, 2nd (btn 8l ) the winner was given +11lbs for that win and has not been seen since, now rated 65, the one behind ours that day has come out and won since and also placed a few times and is now rated 60+.

The race after this Time for Action won a 0-65 from a mark of 51. The three in behind that day have won four races and placed 10 times between them, the highest rated is now 70.

Both those runs were on soft ground, we have gd/sft forecast with a chance of rain. Raised to a mark of 57 after that race, was given a couple of runs on the all weather towards the end of the year and put away.

Back to Bath on seasonal debut, bit of cut in ground, into a 0-65. Josephine Gordon rides, likely has an each way chance depending on how much she needs this race. Trainer form is good, his record at the track is good as is the horses record at the track. Probably worth a go depending on the price.

Repeat Performance

4.00 Chester - Copper Knight @ 21.0 - 3 places sky/paddy

This horse has won this race in 2022, 2024, and 2025.
Has already run four times in 2026, with a 2nd beaten less than a length in a class 2 0-90 at Ripon back in April from a mark of 78. Followed that with a win in a class 4 0-85at Bev in May. Was then down the field in a big York handicap in May, class 2 0-105. and last time out was 6th of 17, beaten less than a length in a bunch finish at thirsk in a 0-90 from a mark of 81.

Very much still in form and capable of a big run.

Highest rated in here is 93, but below that we drop into effectively a 0-85.
Over track and trip the horse has 13 runs, with 5 wins and 8 places. Ground is not a concern, jockey knows the horse well and was riding when they won last year.

Edit : just opened at 16/1, surprised we get that price, I was expecting lower. Will be backed for sure.

Drops In Class

7.30 Leic - Under The Twilight @ 5.0 Win Bet

Last win was around this time last year from a mark of 77 at Windsor in a 0-80.
Followed that up with a nk second at Goodwood in a class 3 0-95 and a nk 3rd in a class 4 0-85, all three runs under Rossa Ryan.
OR raised 9lb for that little run of form.
Started out this new season with three decent enough efforts. a 3.3l 6th if 16 in a class 4 0-80 from a mark of 78, fading late over 7f after being off the track for 4 months.
Followed that with a 3.5l second at Leic in a 0-85 from a mark of 77 .. keeping on well. and finally last month at Windsor was beaten just 1.5l upped in grade to a 0-90 class 3 from a mark of 77.
Handicapper dropped the horse 2lbs for that effort, which seems generous.

Tomorrow we drop back in class to a 0-75, running from a mark of 75. Should be able to carry the weight just fine. Liam Wright claims 5lbs which will effectively gets this one running from a 7lb lower mark than last time out following a narrow defeat in a handicap race where the AVG OR is now 13lb lower than it was last time out.

This horse runs for the same owner as our winner from yesterday Twilight calls. The owner has had 6 wins from 14 runs in the last 14 days. I expect this to be another that is ready to roll.
