Not too much to offer from the Jockey/Trainer stats for tomorrow. But I have managed to find a selection that I think is worth a go.
We do have a couple of horses recompeting races that they won last year, the one I am most interested in is :
5:15 York - Great Bedwyn currently priced around 8.5 and 9.0 with 5 places on offer.
Since winning this class 4 race last year from a mark of 87, has pretty much been running exclusively in class 3 and 2 handicaps.
In August of last year ran within 2 lengths of the winner at Ascot in the “Shergar Cup Challenge” where they bring over a load of foreign jockeys and hold a bunch of novelty races for their own entertainment. Lord knows there is little value in betting in those types of events. Still, the horse ran well enough that day in a 0-95 class two.
The following monet ran in a 0-95 class 3 at Kempton and was beaten into second by one in form that is now rated about 95.
Seasonal debut in March, showed the form was retained, agaiun beaten less than two lengths in a 0-95 class 3 again at Kempton.
Gets in today from a mark of 83. Highest rated in here is 85. If running his race, no reason why he cannot be competitive in this race, Levey gets the ride. Is 4 from 8 in class 4 races lifetime, in class 4 races that are valued at $6k or higher, he has won 3 from 3.
I feel like this is a decent punt at a fair price.
Good luck if you play along.
Pete
